Fortress of the Sinister

Fortress of the Sinister is an exquisite roguelike turn-based strategy that will put your tactical brilliance to the ultimate test. You control a squad of 3 grim characters, such as skeletons, demons, imps, and various other diabolical creatures. The clashes unfold on a grid map, and the objective is to protect the network of crystals from enemy attacks.

The difficult part is that the crystal network’s current health is transferred to the next stage. Once it reaches zero, the game is over, and you have to start all over again. After each victory, you’ll earn coins that can be used to purchase items available that, when equipped to your units, grant stat upgrades, enhanced abilities, and special powers.

How to play Fortress of the Sinister

The enemies will rarely attack your units since they’ve got their eyes on the most prized possessions — the blue crystals. Therefore, you must work out ways to minimize the damage caused to them at all costs. Many of the units’ abilities have a pushback effect, which can be utilized to delay the opposing army’s assault.

When you want to get the optimal squad composition, getting to know the pros and cons of each unit becomes a necessity. For beginners, it’s highly recommended to have at least 2 melee units in your team and a single ranged character.
