Geometry Arrow
Believe it or not, Geometry Arrow makes math from school look like child’s play. This ingeniously minimalistic 2D obstacle-avoiding side-scrolling platform features 6 levels of increasing difficulty ranging from easy to hardcore. You’ll use only a single control, but executing the mechanics perfectly is nightmarishly hard.
The graphics are as simple as they could possibly get, which just goes to show that when the gameplay is amazing, nothing else really matters. This game will test your reaction times, decision-making, fine motor skills, persistence, and determination. It’s often frustrating, but the fact that it isn’t easy is exactly what makes completing it even more rewarding.
How to play Geometry Arrow
The arrow moves from left to right at a 45° angle, either up while you’re holding the control or down with no inputs. The speed at which the arrow moves is constant, which essentially means that it traverses equal vertical and horizontal distances. It can slide along the floor and ceiling of the stage, but touching any other object results in failure. Don’t forget to slide across the horizontal borders of the level whenever possible to make your life a bit easier.
Probably the most difficult part of this game is the accurate timing of control inputs. Try to get in a rhythm and react preemptively to the obstacles ahead. Since the gameplay is fast-paced, after some practice, you start reacting rather instinctively, which is a good thing because you’re highly unlikely to complete this game any other way.Â
