Guide a handful of crayons across a linear stage to color an exquisite painting at the finish line and add it to your art gallery in Pencil Rush. Resembling the mechanics of lane-running games, you must avoid obstacles along the stage while collecting beneficial items, namely — additional pencils!

As one might expect, the graphics are very vivid, the music is relaxing, and the gameplay is fairly casual. Despite the game name, you don’t really have to rush anything because regardless of how many pencils you gather at the end of the level, you’ll get all the paintings done eventually.

How to play Pencil Rush

The goal of all of the levels is to collect as many crayons as possible because each of them colors a section of your next artistic project when you reach the finish line. Regardless of the number of pencils you amass, the width of the entire bunch is limited. After a dozen of them are in a single row, the others collected occupy a new row.

The width limitation essentially allows you to avoid all the obstacles ahead if you act timely. With the coins collected upon completing paintings and levels, you can upgrade 3 different gameplay-related stats or invest in some fresh art gallery aesthetics.

What are the controls for Pencil Rush?

Pencil Rush is playable on PC and mobile devices alike. Subjectively, however, we recommend playing it on a touchscreen device.

Tap/click, then hold and drag to move the bunch of pencils left or right across the stage toward the finish line.
Tap or click repeatedly at the end of the stage to color the painting.
