Keep the clean sheet and lead your favorite national team to the World Cup title in Goalkeeper Wiz! The criminally underrated and so often criticized goalkeepers can make or break a soccer squad, and in this game, the importance of your role in the team is emphasized even further.

A golden glove is gained for each save, and if you manage to gather a total of three without conceding a goal, your team will score. If you catch the ball you’ll earn an extra golden glove, but if the rivals manage to score, you’ll have to start from scratch.

How to play Goalkeeper Wiz

On default difficulty, there’s a vertical target indicator so you only need to worry about the incoming shot’s height, but you can toggle the Hard Mode before every match if you enjoy an extra challenge. You must deflect or catch at least 6 out of 10 incoming free kicks to stand a chance of winning, so lace them up, goalie!

It’s essential to keep your eyes on the ball at all times and react with your cat-like reflexes to the information gathered about the shot. You don’t want to stay idle before the free kick occurs but move around the goal, trying to anticipate the incoming shot.

Goalkeeper Wiz is optimized for PC mouse controls, but you can play it on mobile web for free, too. Move the mouse pointer or tap, hold, and drag to move the goalkeeper’s gloves across the screen to deflect or catch incoming shots.
