Nerdle
Nerdle is a challenging math-based puzzle game that entices players to solve daily arithmetic equations using a given set of numbers and operations. Inspired by the popular game Wordle, Nerdle requires players to use logic and mathematical operations to come up with a target equation within a limited number of guesses.
How to play Nerdle?
You are presented with a grid where you enter combinations of numbers and mathematical symbols (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) to form an equation that matches a predefined solution. You have six attempts to guess the correct equation.
The game has a total of three different game modes:
- Classic: This is the classic nerdle with 8 characters in each equation
- Mini: An easier mode with just 5 characters in each equation
- Maxi: For the real nerds, here you have to solve a 12 character equation. Good luck!
After each guess, the game provides color-coded feedback: green indicates a correctly placed digit or symbol, purple hints at a right digit or symbol in the wrong position, and black means the digit or symbol is not in the equation at all.
To start, it's strategic to use diverse numbers and symbols in your initial guesses to quickly identify which elements are in the equation and their possible positions. This deductive approach helps narrow down the possible combinations, allowing you to solve the equation more efficiently.
