Robox
If you’re a fan of old-school 2D platform games with minimalistic graphics and amazing gameplay you’ll definitely enjoy playing Robox! Timing your movement, shooting, and using the controls optimally are certainly the crucial aspects of this game, but there’s much more to it. To complete each of the 30 levels available you’ll have to solve various logical problems so besides being quick and dexterous, you must be smart, too.
The background music is ominous and grim which makes you feel that the world as we know it is about to come to an end unless you help the heroic robot protagonist on its quest. The sound effects are a bit repetitive but still fit the atmosphere perfectly. The pixelated graphics aren’t this game’s strongest suit unless that’s your thing, but the intricate gameplay surely makes up for all the so-called imperfections.
How to play Robox?
This game becomes especially interesting once the flashing cubes and shooting are introduced. The robot protagonist and the cube switch places once the shot reaches the cube, and using this mechanic optimally is the key to victory.Â
Your character packs the exact amount of rounds you require to complete the level, so no mistakes are allowed. Keep in mind that it takes some time for the missile to reach its target, so use this tiny window of opportunity to get in the best position for the upcoming place swap.
