Sokoballs
Sokoballs is a tricky logical puzzle featuring retro pixel art graphics, arcade-styled music, and seemingly simple yet often unexpectedly challenging gameplay. On a 2D square board, you’ll control an industrious blue ball wearing a construction helmet. There are several switches corresponding to the number of striped pink ones available at each level, and the objective is to push them atop the switches.
The difficulty is progressive, and each next level poses a unique and refreshing challenge. You can’t undo moves, so once you mess up (which is bound to happen), you’ll have to restart the entire stage. This game requires you to think carefully before you act and always plan at least a few steps ahead.
How to play Sokoballs
Don’t start pushing the striped pink balls immediately as the level loads, but take a few moments to analyze the layout of the puzzle. There are several methods to solve every problem presented, but you need to make sure to have a complete picture in mind. Pushing the ball, which is the most obvious choice for the nearby switch, may sometimes block the path for further progression.
During the entirety of the game, your steps are tracked. Upon completing all the levels, your final score will be higher if you finish with fewer moves. You don’t want to focus on these numbers too much, at least in your first playthrough, but the high score component adds additional replayability to this already awesome game.
What are the controls for Sokoballs?
You can play Sokoballs on both PC and mobile devices. Use the arrow keys to move the blue ball while playing in a PC browser. On mobile, flip the device horizontally, then use your thumbs to tap the easily discerned arrow buttons to move the protagonist.
