How to play Crossy Road?

The objective of Crossy Road is simple. Steer clear of the incoming traffic, hop across logs in poisonous rivers, and avoid being crushed by trains to win. The game doesn’t allow the player to stay in one place for long, forcing you to keep moving forward. It’s a pretty intense game and you’re going to have to make quick decisions to maneuver through the obstacles in your path.

There are three different worlds available to play in Crossy Road:

1. Original. This is the original world in which Crossy Road was released. Play as a chicken in this game mode and avoid the cars in traffic!
2. Space. Play as a space chicken and avoid meteors in space to win in this world!
3. Dinosaurs. Go back to prehistoric times and watch out for the dinosaur trains!

A tip to avoid those pesky trains is to watch out for the signal near the train tracks. If the signal is turned towards you, it means a train is coming soon. While on your adventure, try and pick up coins you find on the map. These coins can be used to open gifts and buy customizations for your character.

What are the controls for Crossy Road?

On Desktop, use the WASD keys as directional controls for your character and the spacebar key to continue playing after a session ends.

If you’re playing on mobile, simply swipe in the direction you wish to move your character in.
