Red Light Green Light
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of years, you probably already know what Red Light Green Light from Squid Game is. The Korean Netflix original series took the world by storm with its bold and often brutal take on society, morality, and greed. If you are a cave dweller by some chance, let’s explain the rules quickly!
You and 20 other competitors must complete a ~100-yard dash in a limited timeframe. The giant robot doll with motion detectors in its eyes faces the wall and chants a catchy Korean children’s song. When the singing stops, the doll’s head turns toward you, and any player still moving gets shot down.
How to play Red Light Green Light
Unlike in the original show, the Red Light Green Light game is replayed until you’re the last player remaining. Instead of winning the main prize, you get to play another game, such as Dalgona Candy or Glass Bridge, all by yourself for some extra cash. You can use the money earned to purchase dozens of unnecessary but certainly hilarious character hats.
It’s much easier to avoid making a mistake in the first game if you play with the audio on. The short kid’s song might be hard to pronounce, but it’s pretty easy to remember how it sounds and exactly how long it lasts.Â
