Ludus
Experience the cliff-hanging PvP strategic battles against other aspiring players worldwide with Ludus — an epic idle tactical deck-building card game. Use coins to summon heroes onto the battlefield, merge identical units to evolve them, buff up adjacent allies, and destroy nearby boulders. The first player to win 5 rounds wins the match.
The tactical phase lasts for a maximum of 90 seconds or until both players signal they’re ready for the battle. Once the fights are initiated, the heroes attack and use their abilities automatically so the proper preparation is essential. With a total of 74 unique character cards to unlock and upgrade, there’s a lot of theory-crafting to do until you’ve come up with the ultimate 5-hero deck!
How to play Ludus
The key to victory is to merge/evolve your units effectively. Each hero card has a specific buff pattern that you can check out in the Card/Details. Essentially, when you merge champions, they enhance some of the adjacent heroes or damage the rocks on the tiles according to their buff pattern.
When rocks are destroyed, you gain extra coins — a currency used to spawn units. The heroes’ evolution level is represented with visual upgrades, which are quite important to notice because you can only merge units of the same tier. At higher tiers, heroes gain special abilities they’ll use automatically once the energy bar fills up.
What are the controls for Ludus?
Ludus seems to be made primarily for mobile users, but it works flawlessly in a PC browser, too.
- Tap or click to explore the gorgeously designed UI and learn more about the game.
- Tap or click on a unit, then hold and drag to merge it with the same hero of identical evolution level so you can level it up further and buff adjacent units/remove rocks according to the hero-specific buff patterns.
